Emil Pharmaceutical Industries Private Limited
Emil group has two manufacturing units situated at Tarapur Industrial area, which is 100 kms drive from Mumbai. The first plant was setup in 1989-90, while the second facility was taken over in 1997-98 to cater to the growing demand of our domestic and international clients. Both the manufacturing unit are state-of-the art production facilities having infrastructure designed to meet the most stringent quality standards. Over 200 pharmaceutical formulation across 30 therapeutic categories are manufactured at our facilities. In addition 20 ayurvedic / herbal and veterinary products are presently manufactured at our facilities.

First Plant is having plot area of 60,000 sq.ft.,
has factory building occupying 32,000 sq.ft.

An exclusive liquid manufacturing block of 23,000 sq. ft. is being developed in Emil
premises as per latest WHO - GMP standards.
The plant has a separate manufacturing facility for anticancer products (in Tablet and capsule dosage form) developed as per the international requirements of GSK.

Second Plant is spread over an area of 58,500 sq.ft.,
while factory building area occupies 50,000 sq.ft.

Quality assurance

At Emil, we believe in continous quality assurance through in house quality checks right from raw material testing to in process checks to finished product testing and stability studies. The manufacturing processes are made rugged through validation and stability studies

Both facilities are fully equipped to carry out complete inhouse testing of all raw materials and finished products. The Laboratories are equipped to carry out real time as well as accelerated stability studies. Formulation development is also carried out in both the facilities. Some of the formulations developed by Emil have been approved by Abbott, Chicago and Pfizer, New York

In addition both the facilities are audited every year by local FDA and also by MNC's like Pfizer Ltd, GSK, Abbott Healthcare & leading Indian companies like Ranbaxy Labs. Ltd., Wockhardt Ltd., Nicholas Piramal, etc.
